Detectives with the Union County Sheriff's Office recently concluded an investigation into a violent assault involving a male victim who sustained severe injuries after being struck by a U-Haul truck.

During the investigation, detectives developed evidence indicating that Brittney Carnevale allegedly struck the male with the truck trapping him underneath the vehicle.

The victim was transported to a local emergency department for treatment before being airlifted to another hospital, where he underwent extensive medical treatment due to the severity of his injuries.

Upon completion of the investigation, members of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Unit arrested Carnevale without incident. She was transported to the Union County Detention Center, where she was charged with Attempted First-Degree Murder and Larceny of a Motor Vehicle.

Carnevale appeared before a judicial official, who ordered that she be held without bond. She remains in custody at the Union County Detention Center.
