Union County Drug Bust Takes Down Multi-Home Trafficking Operation

After a two-month investigation, the Union County Sheriff's Office (UCSO) Narcotics Bureau, assisted by the UCSO Special Response Team and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), executed three simultaneous search warrants on Friday, May 29, 2026. The warrants targeted residences located near the 3200 Block of Plyler Mill Road.

 

The individuals arrested face a variety of narcotics-related charges, including:

 

Trafficking Fentanyl, Trafficking Cocaine, Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Controlled Substances, Conspiracy Offenses, Possession of Controlled Substances, Maintaining a Dwelling for Controlled Substances, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

 

All individuals were transported to the Union County Detention Center where they appeared before a Judicial Official and were issued the following bonds.

 

Eddy Cook received a $200,000 secure bond
Samantha Boatright received a $75,000 secure bond
Devin Helms received a $235,000 secure bond
Justin Villegas received a $105,000 secure bond
Brenda Knight received a 125,000 secure bond
Lisa Killough received a 5,000 secure Bond

 

Eddie Cook, Brenda Knight, and Lisa Killough have since met their conditions of release and are no longer in custody.
