Yesterday, deputies responded to the Walgreens in Wesley Chapel regarding a medical call. During the investigation, and after reviewing video footage from inside the business, deputies determined the incident also involved a violation of a Domestic Violence Protective Order.

The suspect was identified as Valdumier Dasilva, who had already left the scene before deputies arrived. Deputies responded to the female victim’s residence, where they located Dasilva inside the home.

When deputies attempted to make contact, Dasilva refused to open the door and instead retreated to the attic, apparently believing it would serve as a safe hiding spot. Unfortunately for him, the attic was not the secure getaway he had hoped for.

Deputies used several tactics, including chemical agents, to encourage him to reconsider his decision, as you can imagine he quickly reconsidered and he was taken into custody without further incident.

After being transported to the Detention Center, Dasilva once again violated the protective order by calling the female victim six times.

Dasilva was charged with six counts of Violation of a Domestic Violence Protective Order, Misdemeanor Breaking and Entering, and Resist, Delay, and Obstruct. A judicial official issued him a $ 100,000 secure bond, and he remains housed at the Detention Center.
