Recently The Union County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kathryn Lynn Earp following an investigation conducted by detectives into allegations of fraudulent reimbursement claims.
During the investigation, detectives determined that Earp, who was employed by Union County Public Schools at the time of the offenses, submitted numerous mileage reimbursement requests for meetings and work-related travel she did not attend. Due to the evidence, Earp was charged with Obtaining Property by False Pretenses.
She was arrested without incident and transported to the Union County Detention Center, where she was issued a $20,000 secured bond.
She has since met the conditions of her release and is no longer employed by the school system.
