Last week, a member of our Public Affairs Unit had the opportunity to attend the NC3C Conference, where they gained valuable insight into effective communication strategies, media engagement, and community outreach.

While at the conference, we were honored to have the Union County Sheriff’s Office Public Affairs Unit recognized for some of our work in 2025. During a brief ceremony our staff was selected to receive numerous awards to include:

2nd Place for Public Service Announcement (Large Population) for our Christmas “Grinch” video, which creatively highlighted the issue of package thefts during the holiday season.

3rd Place for Reels/Shorts (Large Population) for our humorous Valentine’s Day post that engaged our community in a fun way.

We’re incredibly proud to have been selected to receive these awards and congratulate the others who were recognized for standing out in the communication field. We look forward to continuing to serve and engage in new and innovative ways!
