Recently, our Special Victims Unit received an online tip from a social media platform about suspected child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

During the investigation, the individual was identified as Anas Said Abdel-Fattah. Detectives obtained a search warrant for several of his electronic devices. Our Digital Forensic Examiner is continuing to review those devices, but a few hundred images have already been identified.

He was arrested without incident and transported to the Union County Detention Center, where he was charged with multiple counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor. He was seen by a Judicial Official who set his bond at $700,000 secured. He has not met the conditions of release and remains in custody.
