This holiday season, the spirit of giving was on full display as the Union County Sheriff’s Office joined Monroe Police Department and Waxhaw Police Department for the annual Cops & Kids event at Target of Monroe, proudly sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). Together, law enforcement officers and Explorers spent the morning shopping side by side with children in need, helping them pick out special items from their Christmas lists and creating lasting holiday memories.

Smiles filled the aisles as each child experienced the joy of choosing gifts, sharing laughs with officers, and even getting the chance to meet Santa Claus. It was a truly magical reminder of what the season is all about—kindness, compassion, and community coming together to lift one another up.
