What began as an attempt to serve a Fugitive Warrant quickly evolved into a larger investigation. While attempting to serve a Fugitive Warrant for Armed Robbery on Hui Li, an open cardboard box inside the residence was observed, containing three large vacuum-sealed bags of a substance consistent with marijuana, along with a large stack of U.S. currency and a money-counting machine in plain view.
Based on these observations, Narcotic Detectives obtained a search warrant for the home. The search resulted in the discovery and seizure of 356 THC vape cartridges and approximately seven pounds of marijuana.
Hui Li was arrested and transported to the Union County Detention Center on the Fugitive Warrant. Additional charges were obtained for Maintaining a Vehicle or Dwelling for Controlled Substances, Possession with Intent to Sell or Manufacture a Schedule VI Controlled Substance, and Possession with Intent to Sell or Distribute Marijuana.
He appeared before a judicial official and received no bond on the Fugitive Warrant and a $10,000 bond on the additional charges.
